‍ ‍Lone Star Heroes Outdoors is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Krum, Texas, dedicated to honoring Active Military, Veterans, Active First Responders, and Retired First Responders through free and low-cost outdoor adventures. Since our founding, we have served over 4,000 heroes on fishing expeditions, hunting trips, camping retreats, and community events across the state of Texas and beyond.

Our Founder, Jamison Hurley, is an Army Veteran whose passion for giving back to those who serve inspired him to create something bigger than himself. After seeing firsthand the impact that outdoor experiences have on fellow service members and first responders, Jamison set out to build an organization centered on brotherhood, healing, and adventure. Together with Co-Founder Reyes Lopez and Executive Director Jennifer Hurley, they built the leadership team behind Lone Star Heroes Outdoors and continue to drive its mission forward every day.

As we grow, we are expanding our reach beyond the field. Through our YouTube channel and social media platforms, we bring the Lone Star Heroes experience to thousands of supporters, donors, and future participants who follow our adventures from anywhere in the country. Every trip we take is documented and shared so that the stories of our heroes reach the widest audience possible. With over 4,000 heroes served, 150+ adventures completed, and a 100% volunteer-run staff, Lone Star Heroes Outdoors continues to prove that service does not end when the uniform comes off.‍
